'Airplane explosion' thwarted: 'inflated plane,' airline's logo?

Cebu Pacific plane overshoots Davao airport runway

JUN 3, 2013 12:40 AM PHT

KARLOS MANLUPIG

DAVAO CITY, Philippines (UPDATED) - A Cebu Pacific plane carrying 165 passengers overshot the runway of the Francisco Bangoy International Airport in Davao City on Sunday evening, June 2.

Col Leopoldo Galon, chief of the military's 5th Civil Relations Group, said flight 5J 971 from Manila overran the runway and hit its uncemented portion at around 7:10 pm.

Galon said no one was hurt in the incident, which happened during heavy rain.

A passenger, Jun Narciso, told Rappler that one of the plane’s engines was already on fire before landing.

“The landing was very sudden and the pilot immediately braked. The pilot also immediately turned off the plane’s engine,” Narciso said.

Luckily, he added, the heavy rain extinguished the fire.

Another passenger, Laiza Lacida, however claimed the engine was not on fire before landing. "We can smell smoke inside the plane but the plane was not on fire," she said.

Cebu Pacific Air said in an advisory that the plane landed safely but “veered off to the right side of the Davao International Airport runway during a heavy downpour.”

“All 165 passengers have been safely shuttled to the airport terminal and their needs are being taken care of,” the airline company said.

Passengers said they were irked, not just because of the incident, but also because of poor response from the airport and the airline company personnel.

“The rescue team only arrived 15 minutes after the incident,” Narciso said.

Narciso added that the cabin crew refused to open the plane's door and failed to explain to the passengers what was happening.

“After 15 minutes, the pilot went out of the cockpit and explained that the problem was caused by the plane’s wiper,” Narciso narrated.

Other passengers claimed that the responding units were not prepared and lacked proper equipment.

Most of the passengers had to walk almost a kilometer just to reach the arrival section of the airport without any personnel from Cebu Pacific offering assistance or even comfort, one passenger commented.

The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines at the Francisco Bangoy International Airport refused to provide any information regarding the incident.

Due to the incident, all other flights are temporarily cancelled as of posting.

The Blogger's Note: June 2, 2013 Sunday morning -- I lived half a kilometer away from Davao Airport in Buhangin when one of the Cebu Pacific airbuses was seen shooting up to the sky after take-off. Seeing the airbus ascending diagonally, in my heart I heard a whisper that said: "Now is the time!" I had an understanding it was referring to the "airplane explosion" dream I wrote in 2012. I whispered a prayer to get rid of my worries on the matter.

Late afternoon -- I walked my way towards an SSPX church near Cabantian, Buhangin to attend a 6:00 p.m. Traditional Latin Mass as it was Sunday. If I could remember right, it was the time when the celebrant was incensing the altar that power suddenly came off! The Mass continued without interruption despite the outage. Was the blackout happened when touchdown was in progress? The airbus runway mishap took place during the Traditional Latin Mass being officiated and I was attending. Was the Traditional Latin Mass instrumental to thwarting the "airplane explosion"?

Dream: The white-painted interior of the church and the so-called 'papal' portrait

I dreamed just before I was to wake up this early dawn and this is my dream: I found myself inside a particular church which was undergoing renovation. The whole interior was already painted white and the chairs or pews were nowhere in sight. Understandably because the church interior was undergoing re-painting. Inside the said church, I saw two doors, one on the left and one on the right. I saw a number of Caucasian-looking individuals, some men and some women inside the left door and they were like talking to one person. On the right door, I saw a man, a short man, and I knew he was a priest (although not clad in a priestly habit) looking stealthily from the slight opening of the door and looking at me. I went to ask some men-workers delegated to do the interior face-lift about some details of the renovation but the priest inside the right door took my conversation with them as giving some direction to his workers in which act belongs only to him. In a certain wall was hung a portrait of a pope and the photograph showed him wearing a white habit as should be worn by a pope; but I noticed, contrary to papal zucchetto (skullcap) that must be white, his was in pink. Or was it in light red? His face was unrecognizable as he was photographed with his head a bit bowed and the color of his zucchetto showed in the process. Thereby, the one in the picture is not a pope -- but a cardinal under the vestments of a pope.

Reblogged: DU30 and the broken Sto. Niño

'THE HEART WHERE I WILL SPEAK': DU30 and the broken Sto. Niño: I had a dream in my sleep barely a month before this man was to take a seat in the highest office of the republic -- and the dream goes this way: There was a certain platform, a bridge that looks like a stage as well, it was made of steel and plywood installed in the vicinity of a local marketplace. It appears to be an impermanent structure because it has no foundation at all -- it was like a table being put up to be folded back again afterwards. On either ends of the platform, two sets of stairs opposite to each other were being assembled. And I saw this man holding a statue of the Holy Child Jesus or the "Santo Niño" ascending the "bridge" via stairs on the left. He was holding the statue by the left hand and the hand was down, gripping the statue in its middle. I was following him on his ascent -- but I lost sight of him because a group of persons was following him as well. But I was with the group of those following him. On reaching the top left of the platform, he and the entourage walked down the stairs opposite to the stairs he used to make ascent. As I was behind them, I saw the same statue of the Sto. Niño he was holding lying broken beneath the stairs where they passed through on their way down. End of dream.

'Not even good enough!'

The Heart Where I Will Speak started out as a blog on photographs personally snapped and captioned either in poetry or prose and bore my full name as the "photo-blogger-instrument." I had the blog shared to some of my college friends and professors and even displayed the site address on my Facebook profile. I had been "alerted" by the Holy Spirit via the gifts granted to my instrumentality that the blog in the original format has reached the Archdiocese hierarchy. When the Lord allowed me to sense it, I had the feeling it was high time for my calling or the works that I had been called to do to begin as I saw in the dream-visions I had before. Thus, the shift from the original "Eye Of A Thousand And One" to the now "The Heart Where I Will Speak" under the username fdivinemercy. When I wrote and posted The Instrument as a blog post in 2013, I dreamed of my college English professor who was one of those I shared my blog with in the original format. In the said blog post, I wrote a story about my Mass Communication professor telling some profs and senior students in my presence, "[fdivinemercy] can write good English but he cannot speak good English." In the dream, the English professor, while reading that particular portion of my blog post, commented on my written English as "not even good enough." In my college days, this particular English prof was all praise to my future "self." I cannot forget when she told the class about the successes of several alumni who made it national in scope; and, as a punchline, she said: "Watch out for [fdivinemercy]!" Prophet Don, who believes in my calling, in a letter, told me: God will make something simple in your life and turn it into something great like "water into wine." Another blog post that was greatly criticized was posted on November 22, 2013: Yolanda: The Dream, The Fulfillment and The Cause. This time, the pulpit was the critic, saying, "Say what you mean, mean what you say" and "Write in the vernacular if you can't handle it in English." But why this blog is in English? Simply because not all blog readers are Visayans or Mindanaoans who can understand the vernacular! If my blog posts never "say what I mean, mean what I say," just go back to the blog posts in question after some time and read again. I do this formula when I cannot understand a certain verse in the Bible. The Holy Spirit makes us understand after reading them again after some time. It really pays to re-read. One more thing, if the time came for my vocabularies and idiomatic expressions increase, my personal choice of words would still be simple. Nevertheless, do not "watch out for [fdivinemercy];" but "watch out for [what God can do in the life of fdivinemercy]!"

Dead bodies everywhere!

I had this dream morning of the other day. I found myself in an "apartment" where a small party was about to begin. Food was already served on the table and young people started coming in. I did not know any of the people I saw there but I was there. Next scene: I found myself outside the apartment with onlookers gathering around. I could see like two men in black suits pouring water on the floor as if to clean up something and in one section of the floor were laid dead bodies of those who attended the party. Next scene: I found myself in the hallway leading to the inside of what seems like a hospital -- and there were corpses everywhere, decomposing; and milky-white worms crawling on the cadavers. A woman in silent mourning was taking watch of her dead child! A little boy -- in the kneeling position with forehead touching the floor and worms slithering on his head and body -- was about to die. There were yellowish, bodily fluids -- fresh and dried -- on the floor and live worms. And the nauseating smell of corpses! The hospital was in operation no longer. Everybody -- and everything! -- was contaminated. I ran to get out! I ran trying to step only on the floors without fluids, worms and corpses. And I woke up.

The coming season of change

Last night, I had a dream. In that dream, I was sleeping [double dream] and I sprang up suddenly from my sleep in the middle of the night as I felt the breakage of all the generational curses afflicting me and my family. I was very excited also for my loved ones because I knew that, at that very moment, wherever they might be, they were also being set free. -Diary, April 13, 2008, 1:58 p.m., Sunday.

God is all to me. If people see my imperfections, I don't care. God knows I am imperfect; and I, too, know it. I never do things to impress the world. God is pleased by my acceptance of the truth, the truth that I am not perfect. My imperfection is actually an asset. Because, through this, I can long for God, the Only One Who can make me whole. It never saddens me when the world sees the truth about me. I rejoice instead. Because when Divine Intervention comes in my life, the world will know that "everything is possible with God!" -Diary, July 17, 2008, 6:43 p.m., Thursday.

'Bl. Almendras'

I had a dream at early dawn. There was a tower-like structure where in the middle was an inscription that reads "Bl. Almendras" or "Blessed Almendras." Almendras is a local political name. A little higher than the inscription was a man walking on a platform. The inscription was his name or as he was fondly called. He was admired. Even my nephew told me he is good and kind. But the Lord let me feel who he is. He was satan. I faced him and he faced me. I took my rosary and said it; he took a rosary and said it. But when I shouted that the Blood of Christ was shed for me, he could not say it himself, he could not repeat my declaration. And I woke up. -Diary, November 17, 2008, 11:50 p.m.

Airplane explosion

I was out in an open expanse and standing in the city of my birth.
Facing north of the city, I saw an airplane bigger than an airbus preparing to land in the northeast.
I was miles away from the airport, so distant as not to see it; but I knew the airport was in the northeast.
Everything was normal except the size of the aircraft.
It is bigger than I normally see.
It looked like an inflated balloon in the shape of an airplane.
But I saw it was a real airplane.
Everything was fine -- BUT! -- the moment it touched down the runway, it exploded incomparably great that the ground I was standing on trembled.
I saw the trees and structures in the skyline trembling.
It was like the whole city trembled!
