Probably two days before the news of the death of Pope Benedict XVI came out, I had a dream: There was a place that seemed to have a stone slab where somebody was determined to be executed. The executioners were Islamic. Next scene: It was still the same place and there were native rice cake delicacies being sold. I bought and ate the food yet the thought that the particular marketplace was used as the place where an execution happened could hardly be taken out of my mind. It appeared nothing gory and bloody happened in that place though -- but there was! -- because the executioners and those involved cleaned up the crime scene to keep it a secret.

Divine defense - Eleven
Reading 1WIS 1:13-15; 2:23-24
God did not make death,
nor does he rejoice in the destruction of the living.
For he fashioned all things that they might have being;
and the creatures of the world are wholesome,
and there is not a destructive drug among them
nor any domain of the netherworld on earth,
for justice is undying.
For God formed man to be imperishable;
the image of his own nature he made him.
But by the envy of the devil, death entered the world,
and they who belong to his company experience it.
nor does he rejoice in the destruction of the living.
